The spirit of giving

So, I have been following Ali Edward's blog for a while (the link is to the right, {A}) and she has been raising money for Autism Speaks through the charitable website sixdegrees.org. This idea is brought about by Kevin Bacon in the spirit of the "Kevin Bacon" game we have all played. The concept that we are all connected to each other in some way.

I have really been thinking a lot about what an impact Ali is making through this. Really connecting a lot of people together for a cause that will make a difference for a lot of kids who need it. She has reaised over $30,000 and had over 1500 people donating. So, this begs the question "what can I do to make such a difference?". Well, I decided the answer was to jump on board and spread the word! Though I am not directly impacted by Autism, I have family members, friends and friends of friends who are.

So, consider making a donation. The minimum is just $10.00. And the really great thing is that if Ali's badge ends up at the top in number of donations and amount, Kevin Bacon will match the contirbution to the organiztion. Awesome. Let's all connect in the quest for making a difference!
